Mission

• The mission of the Southern Coalition is to collaborate and share resources and ideas among coalition states related to civic education and engagement.

• We accomplish this by helping government, community, and education leaders incorporate civic knowledge, skills and attitudes into policies, programs, and pedagogy that support effective civic education and engagement from early childhood through adulthood.

Goals of September Meeting

1. Further develop the organization, structure, and function of the Southern Coalition.
2. Address indicators within the goals of the strategic plan of the Southern Coalition. Goals include: policy, professional development, partnerships/collaboration among southern states civic and law-related education programs, and marketing.
3.   Share civic and law-related efforts occurring in your state.
