Outcomes

1.  Develop a concept paper/proposal to host a professional development for the Southern Coalition.  The professional develop will focus on developing a tool kit on best practices in civic education programs by collaborating with civic scholars, law related educators, professional development providers, and teacher leaders. 
 
2.  Create a toolkit in which states can access resources related to civic education policies and the policy cycle (how policy works and who to involve in policy making and policy implementation).  
 
3.   Develop a web based site for Coalition members and stakeholders to serve as a content management system for Coalition resources, forum to share ideas and resources, and opportunity to advertise efforts of the Coalition. 
 
4.  Develop an organizational structure for the Southern Coalition to sustain efforts.
